As a Nordic skier, I am very excited to have the opportunity to work at Fast Haus Ski & Bike. My goal is to be a part of this thriving local community of skiers in Laramie! I did not grow up in a skiing family, I turned to the sport of cross-country skiing as a freshman in high school. This serendipitous decision would shape the trajectory of life right up until the present. In my first year of skiing I became interested in biathlon, a sport in which I competed until the age of 21. I ended up having surgery, a process that made it clear my progress as an athlete was at an end. Knowing this, I moved on to coaching and instructing. This lead me all the way to the US Biathlon National team coaching staff. With that job I was lucky enough to travel the world as part of the World Cup and IBU Cup racing circuits.
My downhill skiing journey started at Bridger Bowl outside of Bozeman, MT. One of my first runs was an interesting line named Hidden Gully – amazing what a 22 year old will do! Since then, I have enjoyed my time skiing in Vermont, New Hampshire, New York, Montana, Utah and now Wyoming!
In the summer you can find me backpacking, mountain biking and trail running, usually with my dog Stella.
